Cycle Count

Cycle counts are a method of doing a physical inventory in small pieces. You select a group of products from a single vendor, a single department, items that haven’t been counted since a given date, or items that were last counted within a date range. You are limited to 45 items at a time (so everything prints on a single sheet of paper).

Creating a List

From the main menu, select Inventory Cycle Count Create. Enter your employee ID (and password if you have one. In the selection grid, double click the Sel(ect) field for the items you wish to include in your cycle count. A ‘Y’ will appear in the field and the counter at the top will show how many items are currently selected. You are limited to 45 items for each cycle count. You may do multiple cycle counts per day, however, only 45 items per each one.

Once complete, click Ok. A summary showing the number of items you selected and the ID number of that cycle count list will show. Click Ok to print the list. Use the printed worksheet to write down your physical count.

Entering your Count

From the main menu, select Inventory Cycle Count Edit. Enter either the ID number of the cycle count list you wish to enter (which is printed on the top of the worksheet) or select if from the drop down list. Then click Ok. In the Count field, type in your physical count from the worksheet. Enter any notes you may have. When done, click Ok to update your inventory on hand.

Single Item Count

You may do a cycle count for a single item from the products screen. Press [SHIFT]+[F10] from the product screen for the item you wish to count, enter your employee ID (and password if you have one). Then enter the physical count for that item and any notes. Click Ok when done.

Cycle Count History

The last physical count and the date will display in thee User Defined Field section, but you can also view a history of all cycle counts for any item. Locate the desired item and then press [ALT]+[F10]. The history will now display.
