Classes

Classes are used along with departments to sub-categorize your inventory.  Many reports, as well as some of the price adjustment routines can be restricted by class.

To add classes, select System Utilities File Edit Tables Lookup Tables Classes from the Main Menu.  From here you may add, edit, and delete classes.  (See Edit Data Files for details on how to add, edit, or delete records.)

It is recommended that you not edit the class code after using it to categorize inventory as changing the class code on this screen will NOT go back and update your inventory records.  Use the change classes from maintenance if you need to change a class.
